Written and produced by Max Martin and Denniz Pop, with extra writing from Herbert Crichlow and was later included in the US album and achieved success worldwide. The single peaked at number 69 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and spent 20 weeks on the chart. It was released across Europe, where it reached the top five in several countries, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the song reached number five. The accompanying music video was directed by Lionel C. Martin and filmed in Orlando, Florida.

The song was later included on the band's debut US album and was released as its second single in April 1997, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart that September, making it their highest-charting single on the chart. It sold 2 million copies in the US.[3] The music video for the song was directed by Kai Sehr and filmed in Florida. In 2020, Rolling Stone ranked "Quit Playing Games (with My Heart)" at No. 26 in their list of the "75 Greatest Boy Band Songs of All Time".

The song was written by Max Martin, who produced it with Kristian Lundin, and lyrically describes the reciprocity of a relationship. "As Long as You Love Me" was released by Jive Records as the second single from both albums in the United Kingdom on September 29, 1997, and in the United States on October 7, 1997.

Fifth single from their international self-titled debut album in 1997. It's Included the Canadian edition of Backstreet's Back (which is not included their first album (Canadian edition)). It was later included on their debut US album as well. This is one of the earlier recordings on their 1996 debut album. The song was written by Wayne Perry and Gary Baker in 1994 and recorded by the group at the end of that year. A Spanish version of the song, titled "Donde Quieras Yo Iré," was recorded in late 1995.
